“I Was Miss Grays Harbor”

I’m all about fair stories this week. Check out this week’s column in The Vidette for more details.
That reporter was more than likely as jealous as your sister Jen, OBVIOUSLY, is….don’t let the haters get you down. You’re still Miss Gray’s Harbor in our hears.
I mean hearts
This is still my favorite story of yours.
You know the real reason I got my masters? When I feel slighted, or in any way like I’m a “little” person (as much as a gal who is close to 6 feet can) I tell myself “Pfft, what do you know? I have a masters.” A useless one seeing as I don’t even have time to practice my violin anymore as a mommy (and I was actually never very good, I can’t believe they let me graduate, it still makes me feel like I got away with a crime) – but telling myself these things makes me feel less like a little person and more like the intellecual elitist I really wish I was. Like yesterday when the creepy middle aged lady yelled at me for walking next to her lawn and made me cry. I just told myself “You poor little person, I have my MASTERS.”
My one redeeming quality is I don’t say it out LOUD. 🙂
You’re awesome, Annie! Both as a mommy and Miss Grays Harbor.
Thanks Reva, cause I wasn’t feeling stupid or anything before you pointed that out. But I think you like me anyway.
Oh yeah well, I got married when I was 18!! (Thats all I got. How sad.)
Hey, I think it is totally newsworthy that THE former Miss Grays Harbor was enjoying the fair.
Hey Annie. Glad I ran across this post. I’m currently on staff at Miss Grays Harbor and we’re looking for all Titleholders and especially any pictures from your reign for MissGraysHarbor.org.
Please let me know if there is anything you can do to help.
