My mama is here for an entire week. That means Prime Rib to go (which unfortunately turns my stomach right now) and serious closet de-cluttering. I found out today that my hemoglobin is freaky low right now, which explains the crazy lack of energy and constant fatigue. Thank goodness for phlebotomists. I’m starting on iron supplements. The upside is more energy, but there’s nothing like legitimately pulling the fatigued and pregnant card (not that this will cease with the increase in energy).
In the meantime, here is this week’s article. Honestly, it was one of my favorites to write, laughed all the way through it. Life is so funny sometimes.
There is something so cyclical about a mother coming to help her daughter who is going to give birth. It feels so tied in to deep, natural rhythms. I love it. And prime rib’s not a bad thing at all, either. Loved the column. You have a wonderful way of conveying nuance and detail that ring so true.

Oh I LOVE it!! I am so dumb when I’m pregnant, I mean its seriously bad! I get lost driving to normal places all the time, I can’t focus on anything, can’t say, you know, normal words. Its ridiculous. But loved your article, so made me laugh!

And I loved your article. We also cut up all the plastic. I finally got to close my last two accounts a few weeks ago. I could probably also write an article about it, but it wouldn’t be as funny, and it might have some 4-letter words in it!

That happened to me with my second child. I loved to warnings on those supplements. WILL CAUSE DEATH TO SMALL CHILDREN INGESTED. Are you kidding me? I’m sorry though. I know how hard it is to function when you are pregnant.

Loved the article. So glad your mom is there with you. Sometimes you just really need your mommy. It doesn’t matter how old you are. Good job on getting that debt paid off and closing those accounts. Your right, the temptation is always there!
