My skinniest advice

Here’s the original post on how I got/get skinny. I wrote this two years ago after June was born and swear by it’s powers. I call this the Salami Method.

As of this morning, I’ve lost eight pounds in the last three weeks. My goal was nine by Halloween. I’m fasting until tomorrow.

  1. LOVE IT! But can you do it while breastfeeding?!

  2. Yeah, that moderation in all things is, like, TOTALLY overrated anyway. (Of course, I’m one to talk: I’ve already had 2 handfuls of PB M&Ms this morning.)

  3. I remember when you did the salami post.
Aren’t you ready to vomit salami by now.
Ok, I know, we’ll do anything to get back into those skinny jeans. (which I don’t even own anymore)

I joined weight watchers on line. It will be a sloooooow process, but hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day. (even though my weight gain was accomplished in one freaking cold, long, stressful winter!!!)

    how many points for salami

and hang in there. Weight is relative….always better when it’s on YOUR relative

  4. Thanks for posting it. I wanna try it…of course, I’m not sure I like salami so that could put a damper on things.

But I’m definitely willing to give it a shot!

  5. I’ve hit a point with my running that I’m fake feeling good about it. I mean, running is still not the thing I want to do if I have free time, but I’m excited about what my body is becoming capable of. So—I’ll be putting that at the forefront of my mind for the ‘thinking’ aspect of the diet.

  6. Ok, I am going to have to try it. I have lost 36 lbs in the past four months. It seems to take forever, but I still have a long way to go. Maybe if I switch it up, I will get it going again.

  7. Hahaha! The original Salami Method post cracked me up. I’ll have to try it…although right now I’m into the running thing. The question is, do you ever get sick of salami? I have a hard time with strong-flavored sausage thingies, you know? I’ll also have to refine my acting skills. 😉

I don’t eat enough of it to get sick of it, it’s just a really good high flavor high protein pick-me up when I need a snack or a light lunch. As long as my body is getting salami (I use summer sausage), it thinks we’re spoiled and lets me lose as much weight as I want.
